Workshop Schedule
Sustainability Workshop Series:
*Workshop hours are 10am-5pm both days, unless otherwise noted, along with the free Friday evening public presentation from 7:30-10pm.
*We ask that you please be on time.

Permaculture Certification Course:
*Course hours are 10am-6pm on both days, along with the free Friday night presentation from 7:30-10pm.
*We ask that you please be on time.

Friday Evening Presentations:
*Friday evening presentations are from 7:30-10pm
*They are open to the public, based on a $5-$25 sliding scale donation.
*Sustainability Workshop and Permaculture Course participants get in for free.
*We ask that you please be on time.

Workshop Fees
*Workshop fees include instruction, hand-outs, and materials (unless otherwise noted)
*Deposits and workshop/course fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Fees:
2-Day Workshops: $150 (a $40 deposit is required)
Permaculture Certification Course: $1,400 (a $300 deposit is required)
Friday Evening Presentations: Sliding scale $5 - $25 (based on what you want to give)

Discounts:
10% off if three, or more people register together
10% off for early bird registration (60 days before start date)
15% off AVI's Sustainability Workshops for Permaculture Course participants
15% off if you register for the entire Sustainability Workshop Series = $1,020 instead of $1,200
20% off if you register for all AVI programs = $2,000 instead of $2,500
20% off is the maximum cumulative discount available

Workshop Registration

To register for a course, choose one of the following:

* Print the PDF registration form, fill it out, and mail it to us along with a check.
* Download the RTF registration form, fill it out on your computer, and send it back to us as an attachment to AVI@kleiwerks.org
* Email AVI@kleiwerks.org or call 828.225.8820 to let us know which program you are registering for, including your name, address, telephone, and email.
* To ensure your place, a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required.
* Send a personal check or money order to:

Once we receive your registration form, we will confirm receipt of your deposit and within 2 weeks prior to the course we will send out a reminder for the class.

Accommodations
*If you need a place to stay, contact Kimchi for camping options at AVI, based on availability.
*Camping fees are a sliding scale based on what you are able to give, between $10-$20 per night. Please be as generous as you are able; all contributions are 100% tax-deductible and support the work of AVI and Kleiwerks International.
*Camping includes use of a tent platform, composting toilet, and outdoor shower.

Please bring
*A bagged lunch to share, along with bowl, plate, & silverware
*Info & pictures of your related projects & organizations
*Folding chair (if you can)
*Cameras are welcome
*Musical instruments
*Notebook & pen
*Water bottle
*If you have made arrangements to camp at AVI, please bring your own bedding & towel.

Directions to AVI
*AVI is located a few blocks from downtown Asheville, NC.
*The Asheville Airport is about 20 minutes from AVI.
*Asheville, NC is about 3.5 hours northeast of Atlanta, GA; 4 hours west of Raleigh/Durham, NC; 2.5 hours east of Greensboro, NC; 1.5 hours north of Greenville/Spartanburg, SC; 1.5 hours east of Knoxville, TN.

To AVI:
*Please do not pop in for a random visit to AVI. You must call, email, or register for a program first.

::Take I-240 off of I-40 east or west.
::Take EXIT 5B / CHARLOTTE ST.
::If you are coming from the east, make a LEFT onto CHARLOTTE ST.
::If you are coming from the west, make a RIGHT onto CHARLOTTE ST.
::Stay on CHARLOTTE ST. for .8 miles, going thru two traffic lights.
::At 3rd light, turn LEFT on BILTMORE AVE.
::After .1 miles, pass the Citgo Gas Station & make your first LEFT onto McCORMICK.
::Make an immediate RIGHT onto BUCHANAN AVE.
::Stay on BUCHANAN AVE past the stadium, keeping right/straight.
::#82 is the yellow house with black gutters, 3rd on your left at the top of the hill.
::Please park on the street, as much to the side as possible so our neighbors can get by you.
